Congratulation to Abu Muhammed for winning The Family Competiton

Picture
We have selected the following quotation, submitted by Abu Muhammad, as the winning entry for the Family Competition, in the month of Jumad al Thani 1433 {21.4.2012 to 20.5.2012}:
“If this Dunya was not a station of tests it would not be filled with sicknesses and filth. If life was not about hardship, then the Prophets and the pious would have lived the most comfortable of lives. Nay, Aadam (Adam) suffered test after test until he left the Dunya. Nuh (Noah) cried for 300 years. Ibrahim (Abraham) was thrown into a pit of fire and later told to slaughter his son. Ya’qub (Jacob) cried until he became blind. Musa (Moses) challenged Fir’own and was tested by his people. Iesa (Jesus) had no provision except the morsels his disciples provided him with. And Muhammad sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam met poverty with patience, his uncle - one of the most beloved relatives to him - was slain and mutilated and his people disbelieved in him...And the list of Prophets and the pious goes on and on.” Ibn Al-Jawzi

Muslims and Jews fight in the Occupied land of Palestine

Picture
JERUSALEM, May 20 (Reuters) - Right-wing Israeli marchers scuffled with Palestinians as a procession marking the Jewish state's capture of east Jerusalem entered the old city's Muslim quarter on Sunday, police said.

Tens of thousands of Israelis turned out to celebrate the anniversary of the capture of the territory in a 1967 war.

Fifteen people were arrested after fighting between some marchers and Palestinians who gathered outside the Old City walls, said police.

"Ten Jews were arrested for calling out racist slurs and attacking Arabs. Five Arabs (were arrested) for throwing objects and attacking (Israelis)," Jerusalem's police force said in a statement.

Palestinians want east Jerusalem to be the capital of an independent state they hope to establish in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. Israel considers the entire city its capital. Its annexation of east Jerusalem did not win international recognition.

"Israel without Jerusalem is like a body without a heart," Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said at a commemoration ceremony on Sunday. "It will never be divided again."

Chief Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat condemned the celebrations, saying they were "clear proof that peace is not part of the Israeli government's agenda"

Please make dua for 5 Muslim women who where arrested in Nigeria

Picture
Nigerian troops said they yesterday arrested six women, including the widow of the ThisDay newspaper suicide bomber, in a raid on a hideout of the Islamist militant group Boko Haram in the central city of Jos.

Boko Haram, which seeks to impose strict Islamic law in Nigeria, claimed responsibility for the April 26 attacks on newspaper offices in Abuja, the capital, and the northern city of Kaduna that killed at least eight people and injured 34.

“The wife of the bomber of ThisDay Office in Abuja was arrested,” Colonel Victor Ebhaleme, field operations officer of the joint task force in Borno state, said today by phone from Maiduguri. Suspected Boko Haram members today shot dead a civilian in a separate attack in Maiduguri, he said.

Authorities in Nigeria, Africa’s top oil producer, blame Boko Haram for a surge of attacks since 2009 against government buildings and security forces in the mainly Muslim north and Abuja. Boko Haram, which means “Western education is a sin,” claimed responsibility for attacks in Kano on Jan. 20 that killed at least 256 people.

In yesterday’s raid in Rikkos, a district of Jos, troops recovered more than 1,000 rounds of ammunition, four improvised explosive devices, 19 detonators and 10 bags of fertilizers, Ebhaleme said.

Mohammed Hasnath due to be released from prison next week  insha Allah

Picture
Mohammed Hasnath, 19, admitted four counts of having copies of al Qaida's Inspire magazine on his computer memory stick.
He was also given a one-month concurrent sentence for breaching a conditional discharge imposed last year for six offences of criminal damage involving the posters.
Hasnath, of Poplar, had also been dealt with for sticking "gay-free zone" posters in Brick Lane.
Brother Hasnath has been in custody for 206 days and is likely to be released in the next week, the Old Bailey heard.
While on remand in Belmarsh, a prison officer heard prisoner Mohibur Rahman, who pleaded guilty to having terrorist literature in the stock exchange bomb plot trial, apparently encouraging him.
Alexander Chalk, prosecuting, said Rahman was overheard talking through pipes to Hasnath in the next cell, telling him: "When you get released, stay squeaky clean and then you can carry on our work."
Hasnath was arrested riding a bicycle in East India Dock Road, near his home, and arrested under the Terrorism Act after posting material to a YouTube site cross-referenced to his non-alcoholic perfume sales site.
Judge Gerald Gordon said he was concerned that Hasnath had been placed in a cell near Rahman. He said information about the encounter was "extremely worrying", although it appeared it was Rahman not Hasnath who was talking.
The judge said it was not possible for him to make a judgment about Hasnath's future intentions.

Narrated Anas: Allah's Apostle said, "Help your brother, whether he is an oppressor or he is an oppressed one. People asked, "O Allah's Apostle! It is all right to help him if he is oppressed, but how should we help him if he is an oppressor?" The Prophet said, "By preventing him from oppressing others."
