For the Pleasure of My Lord, the Prisons Come Perfumed
You are not the first to be tortured for a Mighty Religion and a Manifest Legislation,
Nor are you alone on this Path, for there are countless caravans throughout the years,
And if an ‘Eid passes by, and a son is born and months rotate, while you are imprisoned,
Do not grieve O Brother of the Righteous Ones of departing from family and losing children,
And if they forbid you from their visits and likewise their letters never appear,
So if this is for the Lord and Religion then where is the patience, where is the certainty!?
And where are your past speeches regarding the weight of the Millah of that Trustworthy Messenger?!
That Intimate Friend went willingly To slaughter his son, a clear trial,
On a magnificent, noble day like today without any anxiety, he put him down upon his forehead,
So my Lord saved him through His Good Will and ransomed him with a fat sheep,
But you, your sons are in a carefree life And diversion and amusement, and a secured home,
Yet you have not been asked to slaughter them rather, merely for patience of a temporary separation,
For verily, they are in the care of a Merciful Lord And you are in solitude with Him and Faith,
For the Pleasure of the Lord and assisting a Religion Life and all children become insignificant,
For the Pleasure of a Lord, Mighty and Generous The prisons come perfumed, and the bitter come sweet…

Jummada Al Awwal 1434 Winning Quote
Alhamdulillah, We are happy to announce that brother Abu Adam from East London won the our Competition for the month of Jummada Al Awwal 1434 with the following quote:
When Ahmad bin Hambal was imprisoned, one of the prison guards came to him and asked him: “O Abu ‘Abdillah! The hadith that is narrated regarding the oppressors and those that aid them – is it authentic?” He said: “yes.” The prison guard then said: “So, I am considered to be an aide of the oppressors?” Imam Ahmad replied: “No. The aides of the oppressors are those that comb your hair, and wash your clothes, and prepare your meals, and buy and sell from you. As for you, then you are one of the oppressors themselves.

When these angels return to the heavens, their Lord asks them, although He knows the answer, "What were My Servants saying?" They say, "They were describing Your Holiness and Greatness, and were busy praising and glorifying You." Allah (swt) then asks, "Have they seen Me?" The angels reply, "By Allah! They have not seen You." Allah (swt) says, "What would they have done if they could see me?" The angels reply, "They would then be even more busy in their worship, glorification, and praise." Then Allah (swt) asks, "What did they want from Me?" The angels reply, "They asked You for Jannah (Heaven)." Allah (swt) says, "Have they seen it?" They answer, "No, by You! They have not seen it." Allah (swt) says, "What would they have done if they had seen it?" The angels answer, "Had they seen it, they would desire it more eagerly, and would work harder to deserve it." Then Allah (swt) asks, "From what thing did they want Me to protect them?" The angels answer, "They wanted to be protected from Hell." Allah (swt) says, "Have they seen it?" They answer, "No, by You! They have not seen it." Allah (swt) says, "What would they have done if they had seen it?" The angels answer, "Had they seen it, they would have feared it and run from it even more." Then Allah (swt) says, "Be My witnesses: I have forgiven them!" One of the angels then says, "But among them was a person who is not one of them. He had simply come for something he needed." Imam Nawawi commented on this hadith in Sharh Muslim (16/120) saying, “the scholars said, “forsaking him is leaving him when he is in need and despising him means, if he asks for help to remove an evil in his life, he must help him if he can and if he does not have a legitimate excuse not to”.
Abu Dawud mentions the hadith narrated by Abu Talha Al-Ansari and Jabir Bin Abdullah, that the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said, “No man forsakes a Muslim when his rights are being violated or his honour is being belittled except that Allah will forsake him at a place in which he would love to have His help. And no man helps a Muslim at a time when his honour is being belittled or his rights violated except that Allah will help him at a place in which he loves to have His help”.
